David Pastrnak is proving he’s the NHL’s top right winger in 2025, carrying a rebuilding Bruins team on his shoulders with an incredible 110 points in 78 games.
He’s doing it without the star power around him that other elite wingers enjoy. No Patrice Bergeron. No Brad Marchand. Just Pastrnak, making magic happen night after night.
The 29-year-old Czech star put up a mind-blowing 69 points in just 43 games to finish last season. While his pace has slowed a bit this year with 41 points in 35 games, he’s been battling through injuries to keep Boston in the playoff hunt.
What makes his performance even more impressive? He’s facing the opposition’s best defenders every night and still lighting up the scoreboard.
Mitch Marner lands at number two after making headlines with his move from Toronto to Vegas. He’s thriving with the Golden Knights, putting up 91 points in 80 games while playing his usual strong defensive game.
Nikita Kucherov takes third place despite winning another Art Ross Trophy with 116 points. His playoff struggles – just four points in five games – kept him from ranking higher.
Sam Reinhart comes in fourth, riding high after helping Florida win another Stanley Cup. He made history by becoming the first player since 1957 to score four goals in a Cup-clinching game.
Mikko Rantanen rounds out the top five after an eventful year that saw him traded twice before finding his groove in Dallas. He showed his former team what they were missing with a Game 7 hat trick against Colorado in the playoffs.
Some other stars just missed the cut. Matt Boldy’s having a breakout year in Minnesota with 47 points in 40 games. Alex Ovechkin finally passed Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goal record, though at 40 years old, he’s not quite the force he once was.
Matthew Tkachuk might’ve ranked higher if injuries hadn’t limited him to just 42 regular season games. Still, he was dominant when healthy, especially during Florida’s Cup run.
Looking ahead to 2026, Pastrnak seems poised to keep his crown – unless someone can find an answer for the NHL’s most dangerous right winger.
