Key Senators Progressing Weekly with Unspecified Injury

Shane Pinto is going to be out of action for a while due to an unknown injury, according to Travis Green.

He was supposed to play against Vegas on Friday but ended up not playing. There’s no clue about when or how he got hurt since he played more than 17 minutes in Ottawa’s 4-0 victory over Utah the day before without any visible issues.

Pinto has been doing well this season, taking on a second-line role with three points, six penalty minutes, and four hits in six games. After missing the start of last season because of a suspension for breaking sports betting rules, he bounced back strong and scored 27 points.

Senators’ Lineup Changes:

To fill in for Pinto, Cole Reinhardt was called up and did pretty well with an assist in just seven minutes during Friday’s game. Fans might think Reinhardt deserves more chances now that there’s a gap in the lineup. Adam Gaudette and Nick Cousins are already filling other spots, so Reinhardt doesn’t have much competition right now.

Reinhardt is also leading Belleville Senators as their top scorer with five points in three games. The team is dealing with other injuries too—Artem Zub has a concussion and David Perron is out for personal reasons.

The Senators have some tough weeks ahead without these players. What do you think about all these changes?
