The Dallas Stars are absolutely rolling right now, and Jason Robertson just put on a show that fans won’t soon forget.
Robertson scored three times Saturday night, leading the Stars to a dominant 5-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. It was the team’s fifth straight victory.
The 26-year-old left winger made it look easy, scoring on half the shots he took. Two goals came in the second period, and he completed the hat trick in the third.
It was Robertson’s first hat trick this season and the sixth of his NHL career.
The timing couldn’t be better for Robertson, who’s finally hitting his stride after a slow start to the season. He’s been on fire lately, racking up six goals and nine points in just his last three games.
That’s quite a turnaround from earlier this year. Robertson only managed to score three times in October, but he’s already matched his entire November output in this game alone.
He’s now sitting at nine goals and 23 points for the season, and if he scores just one more time, this’ll be his most productive month yet.
The Stars didn’t necessarily need Robertson to take over the game like he did – but nobody in Dallas is complaining about this kind of performance from their star forward.
