Fleury Pranks Crosby One Last Time

Marc-Andre Fleury just couldn’t resist one last epic prank on his old buddy Sidney Crosby.

The Minnesota Wild goalie, famous for his legendary locker room pranks, struck again this weekend when both teams ended up at the same hotel in Raleigh, North Carolina.

It all started when Crosby and some Penguins players snuck into Fleury’s room while he was practicing and messed with his stuff. Big mistake.

“I just had a little fun,” Fleury said with a grin before quickly backtracking. “Wait! I’ve said too much. It wasn’t me. I wasn’t there.”

When Crosby showed up for Sunday’s game against the Hurricanes, he found his equipment had been… creatively enhanced. His visor was coated in Vaseline, his jock strap was stuffed with beef sticks, and his skate laces were flipped upside down.

Classic Fleury.

The 38-year-old goalie, who’s likely heading into retirement after this season, had clearly tracked down Crosby’s equipment bag to get some sweet revenge on his former Pittsburgh teammate.

The two have been friends since their early days with the Penguins, where Fleury earned his reputation as the NHL’s undisputed prank king.

But don’t think retirement will slow down Fleury’s pranking ways. If anything, he’ll have more time to plan his next masterpiece.

“He’s probably just getting started,” one Wild teammate said. “None of us are safe.”

This might be Fleury’s last chance to prank Crosby while they’re both active players, but something tells us Sid the Kid should keep watching his back even after his old friend hangs up his skates.
