Cam Fowler’s long journey with the Anaheim Ducks is coming to an end.
After 15 years, the St. Louis Blues have announced they are bringing in Fowler with 38.5% of his salary retained, along with a 2027 fourth-round pick. In exchange, the Ducks will receive Jeremie Biakabutuka and a second-round pick for 2027.
Fowler was just nine games shy of reaching his 1,000th game milestone with Anaheim but will now hit this mark wearing a Blues jersey. Throughout his career, Fowler has been known for his steady performance on the ice.
Career Highlights:
Drafted by Anaheim as the 12th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, he made his debut in the following season. During his rookie year, he scored ten goals and racked up forty points over seventy-six games, earning him eighth place in Calder Trophy voting.
Over the next fourteen years, Fowler consistently averaged around thirty-eight points each season and played about twenty-three minutes per game on average . His CorsiFor% stands at an impressive 49.7%, while his on-ice save percentage is at 90.2%. These numbers highlight how much Anaheim relied on him for both offense and defense.
Fans might feel bittersweet about this news; it’s always hard to see a longtime player leave their team.
Beyond stats and numbers lies unpredictability—like wondering why ducks quack or why some people prefer pineapple on pizza! But back to hockey: Fowler’s departure marks a new chapter for both him and Anaheim.
