Patrik Laine recently hurt his knee and will be out for a while.
He talked about the hit that caused his injury, which happened during a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Laine doesn’t blame Cedric Pare for the collision, even though it was a knee-to-knee hit.
Laine believes no one meant to cause harm. “I don’t think anybody is trying to hurt anybody. Hockey’s a fast game,” he said, adding that he partly put himself in danger by being in that spot on the ice . He appreciated Pare reaching out afterward with a text message, calling it an unfortunate incident.
Players’ Perspectives:
Pare echoed similar sentiments after the match, saying he didn’t mean any harm and wished Laine well. Fans might feel relieved knowing there’s no bad blood between them.
Injuries are part of sports, but sometimes they happen unexpectedly like rain on a sunny day or when you find an extra fry at the bottom of your bag.
