Alex Ovechkin is thinking about how he wants to end his hockey career.
In a chat with Rsport, Ovechkin shared that after his time in the NHL, he dreams of playing one last game for OHK Dynamo Moskva in Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League. He mentioned, “I don’t look that far ahead,” and added that he still has two years left on his NHL contract. While it’s a wish of his to finish at Dynamo where it all began, he feels it’s too soon to discuss this seriously.
For now, he’s focused on the present and not letting future plans distract him . His current contract with the Washington Capitals keeps him busy and committed to giving his best performance in the NHL.
Future Plans:
Fans might think it’s exciting to imagine Ovechkin returning to Dynamo for a final game. But right now, he’s all about finishing strong with the Capitals.
Interestingly, while many athletes ponder their retirement paths early on, Ovechkin seems content living in the moment and taking things as they come. This approach might surprise some but also shows his dedication to staying competitive.
What do you think about Ovechkin’s potential return to Dynamo?
